5 Days Masai Mara Wildebeest Migration Safari
Day 1: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru
You will be Picked up from your Nairobi hotel after morning breakfast, you depart Nairobi for Nakuru national park after a short briefing on our 5 days Maasai Mara Safari. The drive takes you around a 3 hours’ drive to the main gates of Maasai Mara through the Great Rift Valley at the viewing point to see scenery and the escarpment en-route. Depending on the time we leave Nairobi city, we will reach at around lunch time. Have enroute game drive as we head to our lodge for lunch. Later on in the afternoon, we go for the evening game drive across the Pink Lake that inhabits the Great masses of Flamingos, white Rhinos and black rhinos, Lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras and others. Have Dinner and an overnight stay at the Water Buck Hotel.
Day 2: Lake Nakuru – Lake Naivasha
Day 2 of 5 days Maasai Mara Safari starts with very delicious African breakfast. After we enjoy the breakfast we depart Lake Nakuru for Lake Naivasha national park. The drive is brief reaching in the park at mid-morning where we will proceed direct for a game drive to look for animals like zebras, giraffes, buffalo, Antelopes and many more. After we drive back to our lodge we check in as we wait for our lunch. In the afternoon we go for Bike ride at the park, continue to the Geothermal before we retire back to our hotel for Dinner and overnight at Kongoni lodge.
Day 3: Lake Naivasha – Maasai Mara
Have our breakfast served early so that we embark on our drive along the Great Rift valley to Maasai Mara. The drive takes like 5 hours’ drive to main gate you will pass to Narok town which is a famous Maasai town proceeding to Maasai Mara park. You will arrive in time for lunch, then you’ll check in and have lunch. Afternoon game drive through the park in search of the Lions, Cheetahs, Elephants, Buffalos and other members of the Big five plus other animals. Dinner and overnight at Simba Oryx Luxury Lodge
Day 4: Maasai Mara full day
On our long waited climax of our 5 days Maasai Mara Safari, start the day with breakfast and we set off for the full day fun in the wilderness. If we are in the right timing of the Wildebeest migration our center of the activity will be around the central part of Maasai Mara or along the Mara river to witness the annual wildebeest migration at its peak. We have our packed lunch boxes open during lunch time as our search for the popular residents is going on. The Maasai Mara plains are full of wildebeest during migration season in early July to end of September, zebras, impalas, topis, giraffes, Thomson’s gazelles are regularly seen together with the leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetahs, jackal and bat-eared foxes. Black rhinos are a little shy and hard to spot but are often seen at a distance if you are lucky. Hippos are abundant in the Mara River as well as the very large Nile crocodiles, who lay in wait for a meal as the wildebeest cross on their annual quest to find new pastures. later Meals and overnight.
